Here at Ethnos Community Church we are committed to partnering with families to cultivate children’s love and desire for God. It is our mission to encourage and help children develop a strong faith foundation which will permeate into adolescent age. A few ways we target focus on our mission is through excitement, fun events, building relationships, and teaching in a relatable & reachable way.
Ethnos Community Church is currently holding all services outside, including Kids Ministry. Temporarily, kids will be learning in the Doyle Elementary School grass circles & have scheduled playtime after on the playground. Volunteers & the Children and Youth Pastor overlook the children during all scheduled time together to build relationships and for safety.
Our goal for the nursery is for your child to experience God’s love and gentleness through us, and in this way grow in their understanding of God. We pray for the children, teach them Bible stories, Bible verses, and songs about God. Parents are welcome to stay as we lay a foundation of God’s love and care.
Our goal for the Preschool & Elementary class is to create a fun, encouraging, and safe environment where children can explore who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. With activities and games, interactive Bible stories, and life applications, children learn lessons from the Bible and explore how to apply it to their lives.
Service starts with worship at 10:00 a.m. After worship, you are invited to bring your child to the Ethnos Kids check-in location (signs are provided for direction). It is there that we have a fun, energetic volunteer ready to check-in your child.
**Parents are more than welcome to stay if separation is too hard or feel uneasy.
After playtime our welcome volunteer brings all children back to the check-out location (estimated time 11:20 a.m.). Children will be completing crafts and activities until they are checked out.
We believe that you are your child’s primary teacher and that our secondary role is meant to support the instruction that you are giving at home. (Check out a full explanation of our beliefs about children here.) We encourage you to pray with and for your child, read and discuss the Bible with them, and review the activities they engage in on Sundays. Thank you for the privilege of teaching and encouraging your child. They are a blessing to our community!
There are many ways in which you can join our community and help us make Ethnos Kids an outstanding experience for each child. If you are excited to play a role in partnering with parents to create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where children can explore who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him, we’d love to meet you.
