Is God Just?

Apr 19, 2026

Passage:Job 3:1-14:22

Pastor: Scott Eng

Series: Wrestling with God

Category: Old Testament

Keywords: suffering, trusting god, inustice, god as our advocate, stop judging our own lives

Summary:

Life comes with suffering that we can't understand. It's one of our human journeys to want to know why. Not all suffering is our fault. But we often blame ourselves. Our pleas before God remind us of our need for an Advocate. God wants us to stop trying to be judge of our own lives. And let Him. Job's lessons in his lament: a) He realizes that he is mortal and God is divine. b) He recognizes that God is the one with the power to judge and forgive. c) He can look to God as the only one who can help him... 1) God's asking us to come to Him. 2) God's asking us to trust Him. 3) God's asking us to live the life He's given us.
