Thanks again for giving me and my family a chance to take a sabbatical. Thanks also for asking about how you can pray for us during this time. In my earlier entry, I briefly described what a sabbatical was all about.  Here I want to simply outline how you can be praying for us.

1. Our Relationships with God. Please ask that God would bring us each into a deeper, more intimate, more faith-filled relationship with our Father.  Pray that, as a family unit, we will go deeper into in a relationship with Him as a whole.  We are engaging in various practices- reading, journaling, prayer, worship, and more- to grow in this way. Pray that God uses each method, and ones we have not planned for, for the sort of growth He wants.

2. Our Relationship with Each Other. Please ask that God would bring us into deeper, more intimate, more joyful relationships with each other. Pray for our marriage, our relationship with our kids, our kids relationships with each other.

3. Empowerment for Ethnos NB and the Ethnos Network. Truth be told, we are planning not to think much about Ethnos.  At the same time, we pray that the sabbatical rest will result in the powerful and effective planting of a new church and creation of a church planting network.  Pray that God would do all He needs to do to make it happen.

4. Pray for SD. Pray for God's work in Ethnos San Diego to flourish and grow like never before. Pray that more love, growth, service, and witness would happen. Pray that more people would move to become world changers in UC.
