7/27 - Doyle Clean Up
Help us bless Doyle Elementary at our upcoming clean up event on Sunday, July 27th. Instead of our regular service indoors, we'll be practicing service in action, working on beautifying and and helping Doyle prepare for the upcoming school year which begins in August. This is a practical way that we live out love for this neighborhood, and it’s a great day to invite friends to join in on a service project.

8/3 - Picnic
We had a great time at our picnic this past Sunday - if you missed it, don't worry! We have another one penciled it for Sunday, August 3rd, after service. We'll be heading over to Doyle Park at 12pm to enjoy food, fun, and quality time together. Once again, it's a potluck, so please bring something to share!

8/10 - Book Club
Our next book club will be starting up on August 10th. Our book clubs are a great way to grow in specific areas of our faith journey. This book will be on "The Good and Beautiful God: Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows." This is something everyone can benefit from, so be sure to sign up! 

Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting
Join us for our Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting at 9 a.m., held outdoors in front of Doyle before the service. During this time, we will focus our prayers on different aspects of our church community and its leaders, while also creating moments to listen to God. Everyone is invited!

Ethnos Parents - New webpage to reduce paper waste! We're thrilled to introduce our Weekly Parent Cue webpage, where you can find resources to support your child's spiritual growth. This webpage is accessible with the passcode EthnosKids92122. It features weekly devotionals and guides that connect to what your kid/s learned in Sunday class! Check it out.

Community Groups (CG) - Community Groups are our way of connecting with one another throughout the week. Our hope is to foster friendships where we can be seen and heard in our authentic selves, and experience God's goodness with one another. A Faith That Loves

Where do you run into opposition?

Galatians 4:12-16

12 I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. 13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, 14 and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. 15 Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

v.12-16 You began your journey passionate for the true gospel.

• Entering another’s cultural space
• Helping someone in their burden
• Having great generosity and sacrifice

Stand passionately for the grace of the gospel.

• For freedom by faith, not works
• For inclusion of all "others"
• What other aspects of the gospel are you passionate about?

Galatians 4:17-20
17 Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. 18 It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always, not just when I am with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, 20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!

v.17-20 The opposition is zealous to win you over.

• They will seem passionate for you.
• But they're actually trying to divide you.
• And they're really trying to enslave you.

Stand firmly against opposition to the gospel.

Stand confidently in the truth of the gospel.

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
