6/22 - Member Meeting & Church Membership
Please join us for our Member Meeting on Sunday, June 22nd right after service as we discuss our church finances and budget for the next fiscal year. All members are encouraged to attend. If you're interested in becoming a member, we have a one-time class and covenant that is part of our membership process. This is a great way to get more involved in our community and mission. For more information, please reach out to Pastor Scott, or email

7/6 - Picnic
We have a picnic coming up on Sunday, July 6th at 12pm. We'll be heading over to Doyle Park right after service to enjoy food, fun, and quality time together. It'll be a potluck, so please bring something to share!

7/12 - Spiritual Gifts Workshop
God gives each of us a special gift, allowing Him to work within us in our community. If you've ever wondered about what your gift might be, here's the perfect opportunity to find out through our Spiritual Gifts Workshop!

  • Date: Saturday, July 12th
  • Time: 9 AM – 12 PM

In this session, we'll dive into the different spiritual gifts, figure out which ones you might have, and show you how to make the most of them. It's all about discovering the unique role God has for you in our church family. Interested? Reach out to Pastor Scott to sign up.

7/27 - Doyle Clean-Up
Participate with us as we help Doyle Elementary prepare for their upcoming school year. In lieu of our 10am service, we'll instead be practicing "service in action" as we meet together and work on beautifying the school. This is a practical way for us to live out our vision and a great time to invite friends to help out!

Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting
Join our Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting at 9a, before service, held outside at the picnic tables. We'll be focusing our prayer on various aspects of our church community and leaders, while including times to listen to God. Everyone is welcome! No need to RSVP, just show up.

Ethnos Parents - New webpage to reduce paper waste! We're thrilled to introduce our Weekly Parent Cue webpage, where you can find resources to support your child's spiritual growth. This webpage is accessible with the passcode EthnosKids92122. It features weekly devotionals and guides that connect to what your kid/s learned in Sunday class! Check it out.

Community Groups (CG) - Community Groups are our way of connecting with one another throughout the week. Our hope is to foster friendships where we can be seen and heard in our authentic selves, and experience God's goodness with one another. The current CG schedule is listed below. If you're interested in checking one out, let us know by sending an email to

Online Group - 7:30pm Mondays @ Zoom

A Faith That Loves

Have you seen conflict between those newer and those more experienced?

Galatians 2:15-18
15 “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.

Experienced Christians, remember you were saved by faith, not works.

Galatians 2:19-21
19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Performance-based righteousness was crucified on the cross.

Galatians 3:1-9
1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? 4 Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain? 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

We overcome barriers when we support and empower others.

Our faith isn't just for us to enjoy. It leads us to love.
